Examine Yourself

Romans 12:2

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will."

Are you the problem? Do you examine yourself before making decisions? Are you hindering yourself from attaining to your goals ? Are you self-destructive? Are you letting yourself be controlled? Are you in total submission to God?

For sometime now, I have been asking my self all these questions. How our lives have been greatly affected by ourself will. As individuals, we are faced with personal issues daily not knowing the root of our problems.

But, have we taken the time as believers to find out where the problem is generating from? Or do we just assume all the problems we are facing comes from the devil?

It's imperative that we understand, that 'Self' plays a big role in our lives, both positively and negatively. The 'Self' can be a hindrance to so many things such as: decision making, goals, marriage etc. We ought to understand as children of God, that the hardest battle we fight everyday is with ourselves and it's our number one enemy.

Often times, we blame the devil for our misfortunes, instead of blaming ourselves. The reason we struggle with certain problems is because we do not ask God to intervene. Sometimes, we make decisions out of our own will instead of letting God's Will take control.

However, a lot of people go through different situations each day not knowing the sourcre of their problems. But the question is how do you handle all this? First thing , Ask God to deliver you from yourself. Don't let yourself control your thoughts and mind. Allow youself to be in total submission to God 's presence. Let yourself be an image of God's creation.

Don't let yourself be an obstacle to your destiny. I pray that God will release you from any stronghold of yourself. I pray that God will deliver you from yourself and makes you submit to Him totally in Jesus name. Amen

Do not judge

Why do we often judge? Why are we judgemental at every given opportunity we get? Why do we judge every situation? Why do we look at others differently? Why do we have a judgemental spirit?

Ephesians 4:29

" Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."

Sometime ago, I was one of those people who used to judge certain people for how they dress or look, and thinking I was better than them. I have come to realize that we need to carefully take our time to study people and understand why they are '' who they are?" Or  "What situation led to their predicament?" Or  "Is it just their personality?" What I'm saying is all of us have some kind of jugemental attitude in us, some are higher or lower in others.

Matthew 7: 1-2   " Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

After a longtime, I came to the conclusion that everyone is different and was created in the image and likeness of God. How did I change ? I changed when I became the victim of been judged. Later on I said,  "Why judge me if you do not know my story?" The spirit of being judgemental comes with the spirit of pride.

Along the line, I noticed most people are judgemental perhaps,  because they are ignorant. Often times, they turn to do that because they have a low self esteem, or there is an emptiness in their life or lack of information about the other person.

Everyone has a baggage. But are you aware of it? No! So why be the first to throw stones?. Do not always have a conclusion about others. Everyone has a story to tell, the question here is, who does not?  If you have to judge, ask yourself this question "Are you perfect or better than next person ?"

It is not always about what you see. Always have an open mind when it comes to perceiving others. We were all built differently. Accepts others as they are. Sometimes they just need someone who can understand or love them. Be a defender and not a judge.

Please brethren, let's try and be our brother's keeper. Be an encouragement and not an itch to your neighbour. I pray God will open our eyes to see the good in others and not the bad. Amen

Are you an Encourager?

1 Thessalonians 5:11  "Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing."

Often times we think people do not need us. Trust me they do. Sometimes someone just needs to hear that word "how was your day?" and they open up. A word of encouragement goes a long way.

The reason a lot of people are always miserable  or low in spirit is not because they can't do something to cheer themselves up. They just need to listen to somebody who says to them "Its well, you can do it." There is power in every word. It just depends on how you use it.

A lot of people out here who made it, did not just get up and do it. There was someone behind them who sat down and spoke a word of encouragement saying  "you have the skills go forth" and they listened not only to that, but they believed in those words and in themselves.

1 Corinthians 16:13    " Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong."

Most times, alot of people are surrounded with negative talk which makes them feel less about themselves. But today,  I want you to step out in faith and boldness saying to yourself, "I will face many challenges, but my God is a way maker."

Life is already complicated on its own. Be a cheer of joy to someone with your positive words. Don't be a friend who pours out negative talks. Be an upliftment to someone.

Don't let your past makes you so angry to the point, you speak negative words to someone who needs help. Let your past be your knowledge and let your words be your wisdom. Let your mistakes be a testimony for someone going through the same problem. Let that testimony be an encouragement to another.

Isaiah 40:31

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they willrun and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

I pray God will raise us to be an encoragement or a motivator to one another. Be blessed and highly favored. Amen
