Are you a leader?

Hebrews 13:7

"Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith."

People often misunderstood this statement. We were all born to lead. But sometimes to be in a place of leadership, it requires submission. A leader cannot lead if he/she has not mastered the ways of a leader.

As children of God, we fall short, because many of us are fond of using this statement "you were born to be a leader and not a follower" yes, the statement is true. But you can't be a leader without being a follower.

We should remember  before we came into this world, there were people before us, wise men and women. You can't go through knowing it all. Before you get to your appointed place, God has positioned certain people in your life to teach and guide through your divine calling and life.

Sometimes you must be a follower to attain to leadership. To acquire knowledge; you need to read books, watch videos, listen to audios of people that have been there before you. Listen to their advice and instructions as the Spirit leads. Often times, all these knowledge is given to us freely, so we won't make same mistakes as they did. Those messages are here to guide and direct us.

However, our God has positioned great men and women to guide us through this journey of our divine calling.  It doesn't mean you must follow their ways, but understand the words of God been taught.

A follower learns from the mistakes of others. They are trained to work on their weaknesses, especially the ones which might hinder God's calling upon their lives. Every so often, the reason why most ministers do not progress in their calling is because they believe they are leaders, but a leader cannot lead without the spirit of obedience and humility.

Leadership requires understanding, obedience, humility, patience, and love. It's imperative as children of God for us to remove this prideful mentality. We need to learn from our elders or those before us in the things of God and in life. There is time to be a leader and a follower. Learn to develop the attributes of leadership when you are a follower. It increases growth, success, patience, love and helping heart.

   Matthew 20:26

"Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant."

Every leader was once a follower. They didn't get to their divine calling and destiny without the teachings of others. Sometimes, in order to acquire knowledge, you must act as a fool. Greatness is achieved through humility. Be submissive and follow instructions. Don't be proud.

I pray God will make us great leaders by been followers in JESUS name. Amen

Commanding your morning

Job 38:12

"Have you ever commanded the morning to appear and caused the dawn to rise in the east."

Do you command your day, when you get up first thing in the morning? Or do you command your night before you go to bed? There are certain things as believers we do not take seriously. As mature believers, we need to command our day.  We can't let the day command or control us. As believers,  we need to  build an attitude of commanding  our day and night. It delivers us from the plans of the enemy.

As a child of God, we need to command our day and night daily, to the presence of God. When our day and night is not fully committed to God there is confusion in the air.

Don't let your day affect you negatively but positively. Command every spirit of torment, confusion, depression, anxiety, unforseen circumstances,  delays, obstacles assigned against your day be cancelled in Jesus name. Decree and declare blessings, favor, productivity, peace, love etc.  over your day. Often times as believers,  we need to be mindful of the words we speak throughout the day as it can either uplift or break us. There is power in the tongue. Amen.

  Psalm 42:8

"But each day the LORD pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night, I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life."

Our night also need to be totally submitted to God. We need to soak our night and dreams in the blood of Jesus. Because most of the time when we sleep, we do not know what plans the enemy has assigned against us. We need to command every evil agent assigned against our life while we sleep to be nullified, cancelled, confused in Jesus name. Amen

As children of God, we ought to be vigilant at all times because the enemy does not sleep nor does he take a break. So we shouldn't be resting, this is the time we have to pray continuously and not relenting on our prayers.  We should keep in mind our prayer life needs to be build upon the word of God. I pray our God will help us to be more disciplined and organized in the things of his kingdom in Jesus name. Amen

Are you a believer?

Are you a believer? Do you follow the ways of Christ? Does your life edify God? Are you a disciple of Christ?

    Matthew 6:33

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Often, we call ourselves believers, but we do not abide in the things of God. Our lifestyle does not edify God. Most of us are living the life of a non- believer, instead of living the life of a believer.

We must understand as children of God that we have  an obligation, as believers of Christ. The road to Christ is not an easy path. It requires discipline and accountability. From the moment, you give your life to Christ, your life must be transformed.

As a believer,  we need to believe in Jesus Christ our savior. Read our bible daily. Pray continuously even when the road gets tougher. Follow the commandments of Christ, and love our neighbor as  ourselves. We need to share the word of God with non-believers. Our lifestyle should depict that of Christ. Be an example, so that God will be glorified in heaven.

  Matthew 22:37

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind"

As a believer of Christ, it is our obligation to minister to others about the word of God, and walk in the way of Christ. We need to be obedient to the teachings of Christ and be humble and wise in the things  we do.

As believers, we need to stay closer to God. Follow his instructions. Preach and exercise his word. Be in the word. Spend time and meditate in the word. Establish a time with God always. Have a bible study or prayer group to enhance our spiritual growth. Be a follower of Christ and remain faithful to his teachings and word. Let the spirit and love of God envelope you always. I pray God will raise us up, so we can truly walk in his ways. Amen

How do you pray?

2 Chronicles 7:14

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

What is prayer? How do you pray? Do you know when to pray? When is prayer more effective? What are the things which hinder us as christians when praying to God? Is prayer mandatory for our spiritual life? Often times, I ask myself all these questions. What is prayer? Prayer is the art of communicating with God. It is our direct line with heaven. Prayer is a communication process that allows us to talk to God.

What are the things which hinders us as christians when praying? Often times, we come to God with heavy hearts and when we pray to him, we are not fully commited. That's why we need to develop a strategy of worship and praising our Lord first. Open our hearts to him and also come in total submission to His presence. We need to humble ourselves before God when praying.

Prayers come in different forms: spending quiet time with God, reading His word, meditating on his word, offering praise and worship towards him. Prayer is a very important tool in our lives as children of God. It's imperative as christians to develop a prayerful life. Especially commanding the morning and the night every day as part of our daily routine. It gives God access to release his angels to protect and guide us.

As a believer, I realize that prayers without the scriptures is ineffective. Moreover, there are times as believers, we pray about situations we need answers to, but often times, we ask ourselves "Are my prayers been answered?" The reason this often happens is because we do not remind God of his promises made in the book of life. For example, if I have to pray to God about blessing my day, I refer back to his word in the bible. I remind him of what he wrote and the promise he made.

Thus says the Lord our God in the book of; Deuteronomy 28:6  "You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out."

"Today Lord as I step out of this house you said in your word you will bless my going out and coming in. As I begin to pray, I declare that my day is soaked in the blood of Jesus,"....you keep going on and on. Amen

In order to establish a good prayerful life. We need to schedule our time with God daily. We need to totally submit ourselves to his presence. He is the answer and solution to all our requests. I pray  God releases and increases a prayerful spirit up in us, in Jesus Name. I pray against any spirit hindering your prayer life in Jesus Name. Amen
